The association between extremely low-frequency magnetic fields (ELF-MFs) and childhood leukemia has been a subject of research for many years. Various studies have explored this potential link, with some suggesting a possible association between ELF-MF exposure and an increased risk of childhood leukemia, particularly acute lymphoblastic leukemia. For instance, a systematic review and meta-analysis highlighted that exposure to magnetic fields higher than 0.4 microtesla might increase the risk of developing leukemia in children.
